Sustainability is at the heart of Bird in the Nest. Each month for 2026, we will track our impact to celebrate the difference our community is making — locally and environmentally. Small Actions. Real Impact.
We’re also committed to the additional initiatives below that deepen our impact:
From Bump to Big Kid
We extended our sizes! We now buy and sell up to Size 14 in kids.
Donate to Non-Profits
Monthly donations come from unsold inventory, sellers who donate their remaining items, and generous community donors.
Recycle Snack Pouches
All year, we collect and recycle snack pouches through Terracycle and GoGoSqueez.
Sharing Basket
Free baby and maternity essentials for anyone who needs them. Thank you to our generous community members who have donated.
Recycle Shopping Bags
At checkout, we use recycled shopping bags. You can donate bags to us for others to reuse.
BITN Rescues
Upcycled Clothes + RePlay Toy Boxes - Extending the life of items that might otherwise be discarded.
Women Clothing + Accessories Swap Parties
We offer a sustainable and cost-effective way to refresh your closet.
Donations Accepted
Donate items anytime during store hours—no appointment needed. Please note: we are not a nonprofit, so donations are not tax-deductible. Your items directly support our small business and we will make sure they will find a second home.
